Banana Knee High Boot (Women)

Great looking boots. The heel height is just perfect to lift but allow you to walk and stand for a long time. The leather is high quality and the construction is spot on. I actually bought the wide version from TB’s website, but since I shop at Nordstrom a lot I’d love everyone else to know how awesome these boots are. I also have these in the Chelsea version in brown and those are equally amazing.

These were everything I was looking for in a knee-high boot this year. They aren't heavy, made of quality leather and they are sleek and streamlined, but yet under 3 inches in heel height, with a slick block heel - perfect for skirts and my rebellious, post-pandemic feet. Sadly, the calf width is too wide, so I lose a little of the streamlined look and they hit much higher on the knee than boots in the past. I'm a size 9 1/2 now, and 5'5'', 145 lbs, for reference. I have plenty of knee boots from prior years (but they are size 9) and none of them are as wide nor as tall as boots seem to be now. These are too expensive for me to take to a cobbler to have them taken in. My calves are average-athletic. I was willing to take a chance on these despite the leather covered heel, which I feared may not hold up to average wear and tear, but the width of these is ridiculous. Also, I would say I had some spare room in the length. Maybe these would work for someone over 5'8'' with a wider calf.

The boot is nice, not Prada quality but still looks good. The problem is that Nordstrom is selling the wide calf version rather than the regular size one (check Tory Burch website for sizing and circumference info). That’s why most of the reviews mention the sizing is off. Nordstrom, get it together and pay attention to the details! If you have a wide calf and are taller than 5’4, you’ll enjoy wearing these boots.
