Hands free!
I love this hat holder! I have a brimmed winter hat, but when I wear it into stores I have to carry it around with me, hence the need to TopTote! Works well so I can be hands free.

oh no
I REALLY wanted to love this but when you pay $50 for an accessory you expect perfection and youre most likely to use this to carry hats over $50. With that being said, I put my hat in it the. I walked though my gate and slightly touched the wall and on the floor the hat went..... so I was worried from then onwards. At the airport the hat fell again so this is going back!

Lost My Hat
Lost my hats in the Fort Myers airport over thanksgiving
I had 2 Eric Javits hat that I paid 250.00 each for
GONE
I went to lost and found and made a claim but someone probably took off with them
Wish I never would have just carried them

Needs MAJOR Improvements
I wish I could give this 5 stars because it’s a brilliant idea, but it was poorly executed. The worst thing about this is the clasp. The opening is TINY and makes it incredibly annoying/impossible to get on to anything. Pictures attached to show you how ridiculous it is to clasp it to a purse handle/backpack strap. While it looks super chic and beautiful, it isn’t practical. It’s awkward to open/close, you have to fold/bend your backpack straps/suitcase handles/purse straps to even fit it through the opening, and the edges of the clasp are so sharp that it’ll either scratch your nicer bag handles or you can cut yourself (yup, I sure did cut myself trying to get this thing on my suitcase). If you are carrying a crossbody with thinner straps, this should be fine. But I pack multiple bags while on vacation of all different sizes, fabrics, textures and some of my bags have clear scratches from trying to squeeze this thing on. Even if you can manipulate your bag to get this thing on, it’s such a pain!!!!!!!!!
On top of all this, if this is not hanging perfectly straight on your bag, it will fall off. THE MAGNET IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH and I only had 1 straw hat attached to it. I finally got this attached to my backpack (on the strap instead of the handle since it couldn’t fit the handle) and with it fully packed, my hat fell off MULTIPLE times. My sister had hers attached to her purse and with her hat swinging back and forth as she walked, she eventually LOST her hat without even realizing it. After she lost her hat which was ($$$$), I felt it best to just wear mine going through the airport to not risk the same mistake of trusting this tool.
While on the beach, I had it attached to one of my small beach bags and it prevented me from losing my hat to the wind! So if you’re sitting still for awhile or it’s attached to a smaller purse, it’s useful to have but the issue is with getting it on your bag or using it for travel.
I bought so many of these as Christmas gifts for my girlfriends and we ALL feel the exact same way. What a huge disappointment.

Leather?
I received this item and think it’s well packaged and a great idea. The quality of the leather is extremely poor feels like plastic. Had to reread the product description and go to the manufacturer’s website to double check. Haven’t found a comparable item but disappointed for the price.
