Translucent Finishing Powder

I love this setting powder! I am 52 years old & I live in Texas! Yes! Very hot & humid! This helps blur my lines & pores & just is perfect for my complete make up routine. In the Texas heat I have started carrying this with me for mid day hot & sweaty moments. I get cooled of in the car or office & I just do a light touch up & perfection all over again. Tom Ford cosmetics will forever be on my face since I have just discovered & tried this line. It’s perfect!

This was actually my second purchase of the Tom Ford Finishing Powder. I bought the first one to carry in my purse, and discovered it was actually better than anything I had ever tried before, loose or pressed. I like having one to leave with my makeup at home so I don't have to retrieve it from my purse when getting ready. I live in Louisiana where we have an abundance of heat and humidity. Unless you live in Arizona or Nevada you probably know what that means. I have never had a powder that I applied in the morning and felt it was still working that afternoon. Because you are not having to reapply as much, your makeup never looks caked. The product is matte which is surprisingly hard to find. By the afternoon I had sort of a healthy glow, not the artificial one that comes from sparkles in the product, and certainly not sweaty or oily. . If I made a mistake, it was not just taking the compact out of my purse and not carrying one during the day. Yes it was expensive, but it seems as though it will last a long time, and the case is nice. For what it is worth, I am fair and got the lightest color, but think I probably could have used the middle color as well. I liked this so well I went back and bought a bronzer from Tom Ford - also a great product. Maybe one day I'll work up to the legendary lipstick!

I use this in the color Ivory Fawn in the T zone over my Traceless stick in the color Natural. Natural was a bit too dark and this brightens it up a notch without leaving any noticeable demarcation. Blends like a dream, like all TF cosmetics. Not chalky. Very finely milled. The brush, as someone also said, isnt really all that great but it works in a pinch. I wish the compact was smaller to fit in a smaller bag - this one is huge! Appreciate the nice amount of product TF gives us tho.

Nice pressed powder but why such a huge compact? Most people want to be able to carry pressed powder with them, for touch ups on the go. This compact is just so large that it’s not practical for carrying in a handbag. Had to return. Wish they would bring back the old Chanel pressed powder in the small black compact, that included an applicator. The new version is just not the same quality at all.
