Private Blend Tobacco Vanille Eau de Parfum Spray

A friend of mine, was wearing this one night and i asked him what it was. He told me it was Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille and i said "wow! that smells amazing!" It's just the right amount of sweet while still being masculine. But it's not overtly strong, which is good. He responded that he knew it smelled amazing but warned me not to get too excited as he only had a sample and had not purchased it yet. Well the next day i went online to Nordstrom.com and ordered it. I thought to myself, he definitely needs to add this to his collection. Long story short, about 4 days later, I gave it to him and he was completely surprised and overwhelmed and couldn't believe i had ordered it for him. To which i replied, "don't be silly, i ordered it for me" (wink!) ....and we lived happily ever after. :)

I own and have worn over 80 colognes, and this one is the best, by far. Over the course of about 10 years, I have honed my nose to recognize a veritable menagerie of scents (both colognes and perfumes), and, while I have my favorites, none of them compare to the fragrance, quality, sillage, longevity, and overall effect that Tobacco Vanille has. I am only 23 years old, and I believe that I have found the cologne that I can wear for the rest of my life - this is a true testament to Tom Ford's ability to make truly remarkable fragrances.

I'm picky as most are about fragrance. I don't like musk or powder scents. Prefer sweet, fresh or woodsy feminine perfumes but really prefer wearing men's cologne. Generally I layer a men's cologne with sokething sweet, Not musk/powder. -This should be called "Vanille Tobacco" because vanilla is the first & strongest note. I see there's debate on whether its "sweet" or not. To clarify, it's like pure vanilla extract or a freshly sliced vanilla bean. No musk or powder (which apparently some people perceive as sweet & many perfumes combine with vanilla. I perceive straight vanilla bean as sweet because I relating it to baking.) This vanilla is combined with quality, fresh, unburned tobacco that I smell increasingly upon dry down. It's a new take and unique way to do a vanilla scent and make it gender neutral. - After 30-60 minutes and when any alcohol is dried, the vanilla is still pure but it's warmed by the tobacco and has a slight bourbon feel to it. And the fresh tobacco reminds me of being in a cigar shop with the faintest woody, or cedar lined wall scent to it that makes it feel a little earthy, not much. - This is a man who smells of vanilla & wood who smoked a cigar with his finest scotch before kissing you. Not not a man who swallowed a cupcake after a cigarette & a can of beer kiss. - To me, it doesn't have a ton of lasting power. It projects well for a few hours but I can't smell it at all after 2-3 hrs. Jo Malone doesn't seem to stay long either. But this simply may be scent blindness. *Also because I love woodsy, men's cologne, I find this works well combined with Oud Wood.

Yup. This stuff is no joke. When first applied, the scent of what seems to be cinnamon is a bit strong but quickly fades leaving a very sexy warm, spicy scent. I would recommend, but some things should be kept a secret. ;)

This is my favorite scent to wear during fall and winter. People stop me on the street and ask me what delicious scent I am wearing. It’s the first vanilla that actually smells like vanilla. When you wear this scent your partner will literally want to eat you. It’s Tom Ford perfection. Order now!

Hard to describe. While wearing it throughout the day I pick up almost a wood scent but then pick up the beautiful vanilla. This is the best money I've ever spent on a fragrance. Although a little on the high end as far as price, I feel like I'm part of an exclusive club and that not every other woman I meet is wearing the same scent. Totally worth the money! Oh and I really love the bottle also. Very old school look and feel to it. Think Lauren Bacall.
