Beautiful scent
If you can imagine a small batch vanilla lavender ice cream, this scent evokes exactly that. The first spray is in your face lavender but not at all medicinal or spa-like. The tonka bean comes in quickly and rounds out the scent in a warm, luxurious way. You definitely need to get close to smell this but in my opinion, that’s the best thing about perfume. Overall, I did find this to have great longevity (sprayed first thing in the morning, still present on the skin late into the evening). I’ve tried Lost Cherry and wasn’t much of a fan. I also own and love F*cking Fabulous, my first Tom Ford fragrance, which is a completely different style. Lavender Extreme is a fantastic addition.

Tantalizing smell, but short lived.
I love Tom for fragrances and own several of them. The smells are so unique and intoxicatingly good. However, they are inconsistent in lasting power. I found this one to smell heavenly with an intense lavender smell but it was gone shortly after applying. At this price point, I want a longer lasting scent.

Very long-lasting, very luxurious
This is NOT your traditional “soapy” lavender fragrance - forget whatever you’ve know before, this is revolutionary. Love the long-lasting quality of Tom Ford fragrance, and this one wears long and beautiful. For me, it evolves. Starts very potent, kind of spicy then becomes a very natural lavender, warm and subtle. I would say cashmere - it smells like cashmere feels - soft, warm...if that makes sense. Anyway, hug fan - also have cafe rose, champaca, and a vanilla so I definitely gravitate to those warm and complex fragrances! Bottle is beautiful - silver label squares on top and front tarnished quickly though, not sure why.

Unexpected
The name, to me, doesn’t describe this fragrance at all. There’s nothing extremely lavender about this fragrance. This is a very creamy lavender, paired with some delicate floral notes. Absolutely unisex, it smells very fresh, clean, but different. I read a review that says this smells like lavender ice cream, and that is spot on. Very creamy, slightly floral, a real masterpiece. Lovely on any gender, any age. Not medicinal lanebder at all. If you want a barbershop scent this isn’t for you. If you want a lovely, clean, creamy lavender scent, you won’t find any better than this.

Breathtaking
Tom Ford has truly outdone himself with this fragrance. It is multi-faceted; layer upon layer of opulent lavender notes like I have never experienced. This is the definition of luxury in a bottle.

I agree with a previous reviewer who said this smells like lavender ice cream. It does not say it has vanilla in the notes, but I do smell it faintly. This smells delicious. I would not go as far as calling it gourmand, but it borders on it after it’s been on your skin for an hour. I feel all Tom Ford fragrances need an hour to develop. I’m also not a huge lavender fan, but I do love this. It has a calming effect and smells sexy at the same time. Leans feminine in my opinion.
