A New "Must Have"
I have to shop from home for all my cosmetics and clothing needs, so I use Nordstrom almost exclusively and study other customers' reviews diligently. Like another customer who reviewed Tom Ford's primer, I have tried many primers and never found one that made enough of a difference in my appearance that it was worth the time or money to use it. I use good foundations and La Mer moisturizer, and I thought the effect was pretty darn good for a 71 year old. But on the basis of the reviews of this product, I decided to give it a try. This product is definitely a cut above any primer I've ever used and should perhaps be in a category of its own. It makes my skin look plumped up, smooth, and dewy in the way a young person's skin appears. No one was more surprised than I was - especially as I am about to purchase my second bottle because it is on backorder, and not because I am running out. I just don't want to be without it. I would never bother to add another step to my morning make-up ritual if I could help it, but this product makes enough of a difference that I have. With Nordstrom's wonderful return policy, there's no reason not to give it a try. I will not be without it now.

Terrible smell!
I received samples of this product two separate times. Both samples smelled like moldy gym socks. The first time I put it on, I had to wash it off immediately because of the smell.

A Primer Worth Buying!
I am not a big fan of primers and I often don't notice any difference with or without in terms of how my skin looks. Leave it to Tom Ford to make a product that is top of the class! At my age (in my 50's) I do not want to be shiny or glittery. This primer softens the skin, makes the wonderful TF Foundation Stick apply smoothly and evenly, and gives a beautiful moisturizing sheen to the skin. You will not need to add any other highlighting product as this one is just perfect. Like all the other Tom Ford products, it is amazing quality and worth the price!

Fantastic Primer
When purchasing the Tom Ford Foundation, I also purchased the primer. It goes on very smoothly on your skin and it does not make it feel heavy or layered. It gives your skin a beautiful glow without making it look greasy.
I have tried other primers before, but I have to say that I am really, really happy with this one. Definitely a keeper.

a must have
It greatly improves the flawless appearance with TF foundation whether you are using the liquid or stick. One pump with a good blending brush, and you are good to go.

Not so great, faulty distribution
Not completely thrilled with this product, and I love all things TF. I don't really like the feel of it. I can see what reviews mean by the drying aspect of it. Also, pump started giving me issues 1/2 way through bottle. Then it finally failed. I had to "jailbreak" it to get remainder of product out. Now it's drying out pretty fast because of it not being sealed properly. Way too much aggravation for a $74 product. Will not repurchase.

Not My Ideal Illuminating Primer
I was at first intrigued with this primer and cannot wait to try it !
The next day before heading to work, I apply it but did not really get the exact expectation I was expecting ... Sigh
I was hoping for a more velvety, transparent finish but instead end up with a cakey appeal, effect to which I believe I did not apply to much. It is not what I expect for the price I paid.
For sure I am returning it for refund.
