Nice watch
Prefer mechanical watches so this was a must have. The skeletal back is a nice touch. Smooth operation, classic styling. Definite upgrade from my original Marlin, although the date window on the newer watch is slightly smaller.

Acrylic Crystal
I really, really wanted to love this watch. It had the aesthetic I had been looking for, and the price for an automatic made an easy choice. I could easily accept that the movement was a bit loud, but what was unacceptable to me, especially from a Timex piece, was that the crystal was acrylic. It scratched exactly a week after purchase. I do not recommend this watch, based solely on this.

Broke in six months
Watch is beautiful and worked extremely well for six months. The only real downside is crystal scratches pretty easily, but this was done on purpose to give the watch a more retro look apparently.
This was my daily watch for a while. The watch no longer functions about six months after purchasing it and I am going through the pains of getting it repaired. Would avoid.

Sent me a used display model
Watch is great, but I was sent a display model and the box was all scratched up and I could tell people had tried the watch on before because the leather band had creases and some of the holes on the band were stretched like it was on different people's wrists. I'll buy directly from Timex rather than Nordstrom in the future.

Love the retro timeless look of the Marlin
I'm a huge Timex fan because of the heritage, design and quality and durability of their watches. I know others had issues with using an acrylic domed crystal, but I think that needs to be there to evoke the look of the original Marlin and love it. This watch is so beautiful but in a understated way. The Marlin knows it has nothing to prove because it already did that for decades. Love this Marlin and nay other Timex reissues. I love Timex Quartz watches like the Q but also love that they are getting back in the automatic and mechanical hand wound watch making again. Keep them coming Timex and I'll keep on buying.
