Expedition North Field Post Solar Webbing Strap Watch, 41mm

I like the solar charging & this is why I bought the watch. Also appreciate the solid build of the case. I would much prefer that the date feature was easy to set as opposed to needing to wind the hands "around the clock" for a full day or more to get to the correct date on the first of the month. The recycled plastic band does not breath, I would prefer one made of real cloth.

I did a search online for a solar charging watch. There were quite a few that showed up. I ultimately chose Timex and this particular watch because of the solar capability and the price. Other watches had where you would need to plug into a computer or were just too much cost. I was pleasantly surprised that Timex, a well known watch to me, was surprisingly less. I decided on Timex because of its well known durability and to tests. Some features it doesn’t have but you can add.

I have had a number of Swiss automatic watches of different makes, they are expensive to maintain and while I have enjoyed them I decided it was time for an everyday watch that was expendable. WhenI ordered this my hopes weren’t high, but, when it arrived I was so surprised at the quality. This feels every bit as nice as a watch that costs 10x as much. The Safire crystal, and the screw down crown are are really a nice touch. I see they are on sale and now currently out of stock, I hope they will be available again because this watch really exceeded all of my expectations. I would buy another in a heartbeat.
