Defective material is leather
I've been wearing timberland for many years. I'm very disappointed with this shoe. The leather on both half-boots is thinner than on the other. It's noticeable both by touch and visually. This is definitely a defect!

Great shoes!
My second pair. Not the high level of quality as my earlier pair purchased approximately 30 years ago, but for today’s standards of accepting less quality as the norm, better quality than other brands that I have seen. I manufactured shoes for over 50 years.
