The Zanzibar Maternity Bikini

I ordered this suit for a family vacation, and if I hadn’t been pressed for time I would have returned it. It’s cute, but VERY unsupportive in the chest: no shaping or under support, I definitely wouldn’t chance it in the ocean. Given that it’s high priced maternity wear, breast support feels like it should be a no-brainer. Also, after just a wear or two in the pool it started to get black discoloration around the edges where the crinkling is most tight. It seems like the material is breaking down, but again I had worn it so little this seemed crazy. Just very disappointing for the price.

But the bikini cut plus light color really emphasized the belly in a visually less appealing way. I went with the Hatch one-piece instead. But this would’ve been great for say a second trimester babymoon.

The swimsuit fits well but has a major design flaw at this price point. While its lined, there is no padding on top to provide nip coverage.
