Not true to size
I love that Hervé Léger style bandage tops are back, but you’re better off just buying one from the OG brand because the House of CB one does not do what it’s supposed to do.
Cons: I am an EU 36 - 38 (leans 36 but country dependent as Italian and French sizes feel a little smaller than the rest). I bought the small because that’s what it corresponds with on the size chart. While it fits on my lower waist, I struggled to zip it. I solved this by just putting a long black ribbon on the zipper to pull it easier. Unfortunately, the seam construction is just not great and I can feel it, especially when there’s very thick seam allowance and poor stitching that just looks bulky when this is so skin tight. The neck halter strap is a bit long for me and the seam of that strap around the entire shirt could be a lot tighter for a size small. The stitching is drunk and loose all over, which is not commensurate with the price.
Pros: The fabric feels smooth on the outside and not particularly prone to snagging. The hook and eye closures are secured pretty well. It will absolutely hug the curves of your natural waist pretty well. It has that classic look of the bandage for a lower price (but the price reflects the quality unfortunately).
Ultimately, I’m glad I kept my old Hervé Léger dresses and tops!
