The Pink Roses Macaron Candle Trio Gift Set

I saw this trio of my sisters favorite candle scent, Roses. Three different fragrances, takes, on roses, so I quickly added them to my bag as only two showed still available. They are perfect for a Valentine’s gift or Galentine’s treat for your sis or girlfriends. Voluspa usually never disappoints nor should it at their price point. Bottom line, I love the scents on each individual macaroon looking sweet and stunning glass candle holder. Normally I can gift Voluspa confidentially knowing they’ll be a hit and make the recipient happy. The 4 star rating is because of the packaging. When I lifted it up and out of the box the bottom gave out and they went crashing to the floor. Shame on Voluspa for the thin and flimsy plastic they used to encase these beautiful glass treasures. The outside in no way matched the loveliness on the inside! Additional packaging by Nordstrom left a lot to be desired as well. The Voluspa plastic was exposed and extremely sharp in a couple places. Why would anyone send something that is potentially dangerous out to your customer? At the top, the large cut in the plastic left jagged edges. Had I not been careful it could have easily punctured a finger and/or hand. The bottom and top were also dirty! I removed a dark film with a few alcohol wipes but there are definite darker spots that remained on top. Thankfully, I could tape it up and clean it some and explain to family. Had I intended to give this as a gift to someone less close to me, it would have been a no. And that’s unfortunate as the actual product is a total, yes. What’s going on Nordstrom with your quality control? I definitely expect a more polished, detailed and professional experience from Nordstrom.
