Flexibility and Versatility
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great jacket that gives functionality and versatility. The Tri-climate jacket not only gives the flexibility to mix and match but during the activity if you find yourself getting too hot and need protection you can take the inner layer off and wear the shell.

Garbage
The zippers on this jacket are garbage. They keep getting stuck, takes me about an hour to fix it every time. Ridiculous

Does the job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it, not as good for when it gets down below 15F, unless you are layered properly. It is definitely cut/designed for the more lean/trim body type. I could stand to lose a few pounds and doing so would improve the fit of this coat. But, that being said, it still is comfortable and works fine.

It for cold climates. Jacket gets "crunchy" at 10°!
I live in Minnesota, it gets cold here. When this jacket gets cold, the shell almost sounds like plastic tinfoil as you crunch it together. Extremely annoying. Also, please just the 2 way zippers to EVERY outdoor jacket/coat PLEASE ‼️ With out it, it's hard to sit with out the whole thing riding up while you try and drive. Please just make them like the old Mountain Guide from the 90's to early 2k.

Good product with some disappointing omissions
This product is missing several minor but important features that I have come to expect on high-end outdoor garments: 1. The main front zipper is one-way only - there is no second pull to open it up from the bottom. This is a limiting factor when trying to access pockets of inner garments, and also when trying to improve ventilation during strenuous activity. This is a frustrating and inconvenient omission. 2. The main front zipper has no cord attached to the pull. All the other zippers have these, but not the main one that you use the most. Makes it hard to get ahold of with gloves on. 3. The inner jacket has no drawstring at the bottom - it's just a big floppy open tube. Since it's designed to be worn either zipped into the outer shell or as a lightweight insulating jacket on its own, this is an incomprehensible omission that very seriously compromises its efficiency when worn on its own. I'll probably take it to a tailor to have some elastic or something installed. What were you thinking, North Face? 4. It would be nice to have the ability to roll up the hood into a collar to get it out of the way when it isn't needed. This isn't a critical feature, but personally I find that I rarely use the hood on a parka like this except in the most extreme conditions, and really prefer to have it rolled out of the way and have a kind of standing padded collar when the jacket is zipped up all the way. There are many very well-thought-out features on this parka, and I do like it a lot. But somebody at North Face was either not thinking, or else was deliberately cutting corners to save costs. Really disappointing to find details like this overlooked on a parka this expensive.
