really nice quality

I swear small in this brand and sometimes a medium. I got this is size small. I’m 5’2” weight 115-120lbs. My back is broad and I have very wide shoulders; years of swimming. I wear 32D. I love this jacket but it’s a touch narrow in the back and chest. I think that’s my personal issue, not a sizing issue. It is true to size and cut for the brand. I wish they had a medium. I will likely keep it even though narrow on the chest/back because the rest is perfect. If you’re like me, and wear bigger tops than bottoms, you might like to size up. Otherwise, I recommend highly and recommend go with your usual size.

Odd cut for tall, thin woman

Runs very narrow in the hips, which is not apparent on the model. My hips are in proportion with my thin frame, yet zipping up the coat was snug and while sitting the coat must be opened at the bottom. Forget sitting outdoors and keeping your upper legs dry in precipitation. Sleeves were too long, as depicted in photo. My arms are long. Adjusting the cuff looks sloppy. Lots of shoulder room, also apparent on model. If you plan on layering, there is no extra room in the hips If your figure is an inverted triangle, small bust, ultra narrow hips, very long arms, this coat will fit you. It has nice features, fabric, length, everything else I wanted. The quality of the material and other workmanship is very good, however, the fit is odd for a typical women.

Really long sleeves tight in the bust

I ordered this coat in flax. It's very pretty. But the bust in a small is way too tight and the sleeves in a medium way too long. The zipper is difficult. I have been wearing North Face for years. They have changed their sizing. I am not big chested, not heavy and I am short. I always wore a small. North Face women are not built like your new sizing we have curves. A small fit in the sleeves if the coat was not so tight in the chest it would have been perfect.

A few design defects

The other reviews are correct. The sleeves are freakishly long, the velcro tabs over the zipper are uncomfortable and inefficient and the overall sizing is very narrow. I returned it.

some things did not work for me

Pros: Quality of the material is great, hood is nice and large. Loved the gray color. Cons: zipper was really difficult to use. I don’t like the Velcro closure at the front, I always think Velcro is going to collect so much fuzz. Very straight fit, didn’t work for my wider hips (size 10, bought a large and too tight in the bottom portion). Also the price seems a bit extreme.

Great coat, bad zippers

Loved the weight and length of the jacket. The zippers were awful though. The main zipper was hard to get started and undo but I didn’t want to bother returning the jacket at that point. On the third time wearing the jacket the pocket zipper fell off. I had to return it. Hoping my replacement has better luck.
