The Mylie Suede Shoulder Bag

This is a great bag in many ways, and the blue color goes with so much, it’s comfortable to carry and when full the shape is excellent and a decent price on sale. However once I removed all the padding/paper inside and threw just my keys and a few items in, it got pretty floppy and not as cute. Wish it had more structure, for me I will return :/ also no pocket inside but there is a little flap thing you could hook something to.

I bought this bag Fall 2025, and love it. The new 2026 version is sub-par in comparison, sadly. The 2025 version has a zippered interior pocket that is substantial in size with a well structured zipper. It’s also slightly larger in all dimensions than the 2026 version.

I really wanted to love this bag. But like some other reviewers have said, it doesn't look as nice when not really full. And I worried that if I filled it, then I would lose something because the top is very open. The final straw was the length of the handle. I love the way it looks, but it was not comfortable or attractive over the shoulder. Had to return.

The Sangria color of this bag is what drew me when I ordered it online. However, the bag in person is not practical. From the flimsiness of the bag once the stuffing is removed to the short strap, I couldn’t justify the spend even on sale. It’s a return for me.

The suede and color are very nice, however there is only a magnetic closure for the entire top which means it's easy for things to fall out or be pickpocketed. There are no interior pockets or clips for your 'important' things that you want to keep easily accessible. I'm not sure yet if I'll keep both the blue and the burgundy colors as it's functionality isn't 100% for me. I can also see how things would get wet inside if you do have a lot of things in there for a nicer silhouette/shape when it rains in our area (meaning October through April/May)...

I loved everything except that when the magnets close and the purse dents down, they hurt my side when I’m wearing it on my shoulder. I returned it. The sangria color is perfect. I hope madewell makes other purses in this color.
