The Long Sleeve Maxi Shirt

I have a borderline obsession with long caftans and nightgowns. I’d never heard of this label so thought I’d give it a try. Had second thoughts and planned to return. It’s perfect. Lightweight, long, comfortable and a collar. The sleeves are very long, which could be good for sleeping, but they added a convenient button to shorten on demand. Be advised it’s a bit sheer. It’s a keeper tho. TTS

I started sleeping in nighties about a year ago and had a really hard time finding something to wear to bed in winter. I live in a warmer climate and this one is perfect for cool nights - long sleeves, maxi length, mid-weight fabric. It looks a lot like my favorite maxi shirtdresses that I wear outside of the bedroom. Why aren't more nightshirt or sleep dresses styled like this? I have two of these now but they were not easy to come by as there is either some kind of communication issue between the nordstrom website and nudea, or else nudea (who is the shipper) is just really bad at fulfilling orders accurately. The first two times I ordered, I was shipped the wrong size. The third time, I ordered it in two sizes just on the hopes that whoever was packing it would pay more attention. I got the correct size doing it this way. The fourth time I got the correct size but the wrong color. I'm keeping it anyway. (I ordered the navy stripe but received a sky blue color which is very pretty if not a bit more revealing than I'd prefer. I also have the green, which looks nicer in person IMO.) I went up one full size from my US letter to get the right fit in UK sizing. It runs a bit narrow in the shoulders I think, but then again I am 5'10" and have broad shoulders and long arms. I wash delicate and hang it to dry to keep it in shape. I do love this garment but wish it'd had been easier to get what I wanted. After the first two mishaps I contacted Nordstrom about it via chat, but I don't think the person on the other end understood what the issue was. Perhaps this'll get better notice.
