How to use: Gently shake The Renewal Oil to blend the formula. After cleansing, use your fingers to sweep 3–5 pea-sized drops over your face and neck morning and evening. Cream of the creams!
I used this back in the early 80’s and always had compliments on my skin. Fast forward 40 years, I tried other brands of cream, lotions….etc because they were supposed to be scientifically better. Yah right! So about 2 weeks ago I used a vitamin C serum that wound up making the skin on my cheeks dryer and fine lines show up from cheekbones to jawbones. Enough playing around, I got more Crème de la Mer and morning and night patted it on my poor abused face. The next morning I noticed a release of some of the fine lines. After 5 days my skin is almost back to its smooth and dewy self. I’m 70, but I don’t have to look 70! Low these many years, ain’t nothing better than Crème de la Mer!

not worth the money
To sum up everything the moisturizer evaporates every time you open the jar. I use a tiny bit and notice that there is nothing left. Jar is just about empty. I was always careful on how much I used. I saw no difference between this one and a less than one

Gorified Vaseline Sad to Quit After Seven Years
I have used La Mer moisturizers since 2017 and they have been my safe go to lotions and I am so sad I have to quit it. They changed the formula a few years back and it’s basically a glorified Vaseline now. Not worth the money.

Half the size it used to be - same price
This is already extremely expensive but I just received the smallest size and at the same price it is now HALF an ounce — I buy the same each year and it was one ounce last year. They cut the size in half and it’s still $100 bucks. I won’t be buying again. Seriously- How greedy are you??

Something Has Changed
I have purchased moisturizing cream from La Mer for years and love it. It is one of the only creams that has staying power especially in the winter months. However, something has changed it is not as thick as it was and seems to have more air bubbles in the mixture. Now when I apply it I find I need to use more of it and more often.

AWFUL FORMULA CHANGE!!!
Thank you to all the other recent reviews who took the time to write about this new formula because I too thought my jar was rancid, spoiled etc. This new formula is thinner, shiny and not as creamy thick upon application....AND IT STINKS like automotive shop grease or some kind of lubricant!! AWFUL!! I thought I'd better get a replacement jar because this jar's formula is bad! I have used this cream exclusively for over 30 years and it used to smell lovely like roses or slightly oriental fragrance. Now it just stinks! and is greasier, thinner and not as moisturizing! WHY LA MER did you mess with this formula? Thank you to Nordstrom for putting these reviews out there so I now know its a formula change and not a bad jar! Incredibly disappointed......bring back the old formula La Mer because us long time users notice the difference immediately!!:(:(
