Tried Everything
I've spent thousands of dollars on anti-aging products from beauty retailers, my medspa, even pharmacies and holistic health sections of the organic grocers. Let's just say that I am your typical American consumer and an easy target for marketing gimmicks. I had never even heard of La Mer before until a boyfriend of mine turned me onto it. (weird right? he was a wall street stock broker--makes sense now right?# Let me just mention as a side note, the ultra rich face cream is the best thing on earth. I have a finicky complexion and as rich as it may seem it is the only thing that does not make my face break out. So, with my instant obsession with the face cream I figured the eye cream had to be just as solid of a product. I am completely obsessed with this eye cream. I forced my mother into buying it as well and she agrees. I am 26 years old using it as prevention, my mother is 56 years old and she swears by it. #Not to mention the fact that she is obsessed with maintaining her youth and is not afraid of plastic surgery--probably where my obsession of face creams and injectables comes from) I use it on and around my eyes and even my my lips and my mother uses it on her eyes lips and dabs it around her mouth for those "smile" lines as well. It is absolutely amazing. The investment in this, seemingly expensive, product is well worth it compared to the constant spending and searching for a product that lives up to its ad campaigns. Along with my last recent purchases of La Mer products, the sales rep gave me a sample of the green eye balm, I didn't try it myself, but, my mother did and she definitely prefers this particular La Mer eye balm product much more. I just finished ordering two of these. 1 for me and 1 to meet my mother's demand of MORE LA MER! La Mer is the best thing that's ever happened to me. No more wasted money. 1 jar of this had lasted me since April. It is now December. And like I said before, I use it on other areas than just my eyes and have forced my friends to use it too! I cannot express how happy I am with it. I believe everyone should at least try it. It will change your life and I swear to you, I am not just saying that. I wish I could put this and the ultra rich cream on every inch of my body. SERIOUSLY.

Not enough moisture
I began using the La Mer concentrate, and found it no longer effective. (As many customers had the same concerns) It did not appear to make any improvements, as the face cream, which is truly a miracle. This product later came out as it was supposed to be an improved version of the concentrate but thumbs down on this product as well. The eye balm doesn't seem to have enough moisture and does not decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. For the money Clinique is by far superior, and much less expensive. You don't mind spending the money if you have good outcomes, but to invest and be disappointed is just not acceptable. Nordstrom's return policy is outstanding, so when possible I try and get samples in order not to return expensive used items.

waaaay overrated
not only is this sooo overpriced, it is overrated. I didn't notice any difference in diminish of puffiness or lines, I've been using this product for over a year and I will never again buy it. Just because it is expensive, doesn't mean it is better. Honestly don't know how these products keep getting such high ratings. I guess people buy into fancy packaging and marketing.....like it did.

Stopped working
Contrary to popular belief, La Mer is not the best product on the market. In fact, it is overpriced and overrated. I went through 2 jars of this, waiting for it to work the miracles that it claims to and is supposedly known to do, but it does NOT. I was highly disappointed and upset that I wasted so much money on it. After being told by several people that I looked dry under my eyes, puffy, and fatigued, I decided to go back on the hunt for another brand that is more effective... I didn't care if I had to pay more, I just wanted results. That's when I discovered YSL Temps Majeur eye cream and I thank my lucky stars that I did... so much more effective and worked miracles - took all my eye issues away and look years younger again and at a fraction of the cost of this eye cream. Don't waste your money on this - seriously.
Although, to be fair, I still do love their face cream... that is still working for me - so far.

irritated my skin :(
I had high hopes for this product because it’s La Mer! I was wrong. It started irritating under my eye the first day. The redness you see feels like a burn. Will definitely return!

Effective Luxury
I absolutely love this eye cream. While the price tag is sometimes cost prohibitive for me, I buy it whenever I can afford the splurge. I really love the applicator tip, which is multi-purpose. It keeps the jar from getting full of germs from your hands, it's far gentler than using your fingers to apply it to the delicate under-eye skin, and it helps soothe the eyes with the cooling metal, helping with any puffiness. It's light enough to use during the day, and works well even with under eye concealer over it. At night I use it as a base layer, then use a heavier eye cream like Kiehl's Avocado on top of it for extra moisture. I noticed a definite improvement in fine lines, particularly on the outside corners and between the brows. The jar lasts about three months with twice daily use.
