I want to love these so much. They are super cute and feel good. They fit my legs and butt at a size 29 but they leave a huge gap at my waist.
For reference I am 5'7, 159lbs, I have a short torso and an hourglass shape body.
I could get them altered but honestly I'm on a weight-loss journey so I would rather buy them again in a smaller size when I lose more weight.
Definitely worth trying.

Cute and great for curvy women
I love these shorts! I ordered my usual MW size and they fit just fine. I have larger hips, and they do fit a larger on the waist, but my hips hold it up. I’d say they are great for my curvy ladies.

Adorable but runs large
I have worn Madewell for a long time and know they typically run large in most bottoms. I got my usual Madewell size 26 and these looked way too big. They weren't falling off but the proportions just didn't flatter at all. I would maybe try a size 25 but not sure if this style is for me since I'm petite. Love the embroidery detail though. They are high quality and very unique! Wish they worked for me.
