THE DAY CARDIGAN

This was a massive fail on so many levels. First, I bought the recommended size (Small) and the cardigan runs at least a one size too small. Second, the garment runs very short (and I'm only 5'4"!!) and has a military-style fitted look - very unflattering and far more tailored than the online photos. So beware, deceptive photos. Third, and most irritating, at no point in the purchase or return process was this clearly flagged as a Marketplace item that had to be mailed back or returned to a Nordstrom store (Not Nordstrom Rack). When I did click on "may have different return policy" when ordering I was just taken the Nordstrom landing page and not to any specific guidance from this retailer. This has happened to me once before from a different Marketplace retailer and I think Nordstrom could be A LOT clearer when you're purchasing or intitiating a return. On the latter, again there was NO FLAG that said "cannot be returned to a Nordstrom Rack store". So now, after a pointless trip to a Nordstrom Rack, I either mail it (another trip) and start a multi-week process waiting for a refund of a very expensive item, or I spend a few hours and a few gallons of gas driving to my nearest Nordstrom's. Where I'm not confident they are going to accept it either, adding to the wasted time and effort I've already expended. This all is a pain in the neck and really makes me concerned, for the first time, about Nordstrom's customer approach.
