Great fit but not mid-rise

I loved the wash, softness, and fit of these jeans - they were everything I wanted! But, they were definitely not mid-rise and therefore they felt like they were high up on my stomach/waist and were too confining/tight. I even went up a size (against the SA’s recommendation) and it was the same at the waist. If you want a higher-rise, these are great jeans but just didn’t work for me as a result. Was very impressed with overall fit and soft denim for summer, otherwise.
