The Bathouse Ritual Citrus Wave Skin Care Set (Nordstrom Exclusive) $162 Value

I was intrigued about a whole body system to exfoliate and soften my skin. I have been a lover of the Lalicious body line. I wanted to try something different. I am going to be traveling and this seemed like the perfect opportunity and size to try. I also am a lover of citrus scents. I would not recommend this line/product and here is why: 1. The bottles are GLASS. Portability for travel is inconsistent with my needs 2.The ritual is impractical. You get in the shower (it's really meant for a bath) pump out the pre-exfoliation form and rub it on your skin-allow to set for about 15 seconds. Then you use one of the 2 mitts included (they are very rough) and rub your skin. You then rinse off that and apply the body wash. and after you rinse that off, you pat dry and "spray" the oil onto your skin. Hmmm. Because it's glass and you are using when your hands are likely wet you have to be super careful to not drop the glass bottles, especially the awkward square oil bottle. I'm sure it has something to do with the efficacy of the ingredients but still not a super idea, IMHO. 3. The smell of the foam is sort of rancid. The body wash is good, and the oil smell is good. All products are pretty lightweight, the oil does sink into the skin but I'm not sure it's really moisturizing. I still put moisturizer on my legs after that. For $145, this is not worth it. I used it 3 times so I feel I gave it a proper test, but will gift it to a non traveling friend. It might also just be that I like deeply moisturizing products, and for me this is not that. As a side note, I am a person that has been religiously dedicated to a skin ritual called "Erno Laszlo" for many years. I can definitely appreciate the beauty of the 'Ritual" if it is effective. This one has too many other minuses for me to find out.

I used product exactly how it says to use ... and nothing falls off my skin I don’t see any dry skin come off I tried slow then a little faster and so fourth I just ended up with red skin and a rash . The oil is not all they say it is to be I actually have better now tht smell fantastic . I threw box away and everything and I hate returning things it’s a hassle so I still have there havent used . Hope others like it .

Not all reviews of the Bathhouse Ritual are positive, but most are, so I took the plunge.The citrus wave scent moved me from "nah" to "yes", honestly.I read and followed the instructions and WOW did I see results. I have only used the black/deep exfoliation glove so far, and the amount of dead skin it removes is impressive, to the point of being almost gross.The smell is wonderful, I hope the citrus wave is a permanent option. The dry oil being in a spray bottle makes application a breeze. If you are on the fence, just try it! All three products are non-irritating (for me) and I use the body wash and dry oil daily. Massaging in the oil has healed my ragged cuticles, too.
