What it is: A woody eau de parfum that offers an interpretation of the royal iris flower, which symbolizes wisdom and courage.

Fragrance story: Inspired by the science of alchemy, Alessandro Michele reimagines the path of transformation from lead into gold with the art of fragrance. Iris is one of the most ancient ingredients in perfumery, and also frequently used in the makeup industry. For the scent of Tears of Iris, a noble owl is pictured in a sandalwood forest on a night with inky-blue skies. Adding depth and sensuality to the scent are notes of angelica seeds and musk. The owl watches the forest with its large, luminous eyes, which shine in the dark to recall an iris.

Lovely scent and bottle

This is a lovely iris fragrance. Reminds me of when I was a kid and used to play around iris flowers at sunset when it was a little dewy outside. The bottle is beautiful, and the sprayer is great. Last very well on me, and I usually get compliments. Definitely one of my favorites.

Long lasting

You will leave the house smelling amazing and feeling so good! Its longevity is what stands out the most to me. It holds it value well. And doesn’t leave a bad texture.

Perfect for spring!

I love lily of valley, ylang-ylang, especially iris, so choosing Tears of Iris was an easy decision. It’s soft, powdery, elegant, and exactly my kind of floral scent. The longevity is pretty good. It stays soft and beautiful on my skin for hours. I love how subtle it is, and how the scent gently evolves throughout the day into an even more beautiful, powdery iris.

Stunning scent

I was gifted a smaller size of this not too long ago. I cannot believe how stunning this scent is. It feels like it was tailored to my chemistry, right down to the natural iris scent. The bottle is beautiful, and longevity and projection is everlasting. I intend to try the other scents too.
