perfect carry-on
I have the full BÉIS set and this is actually a perfect carry on! I love this bag with my mini weekender for quick trips. Not sure why the description states it must be checked. The bag fits in the overhead on my Delta flights.

NOT CARRY ON
Only accepted by two airlines, .8 too big to be a carry on. I have been eyeing this for months and after buying it I realized it’s bigger than what all the airlines require. I am super disappointed. Why make a luggage that you can only use on two airlines? Not worth it.

Great bag!
As a Flight Attendant i absolutely love this this bag as it’s huge and it expands and it’s so pretty! But as I mentioned I am Flight Attendant and this bag does fit in the overhead bin so it doesn’t need to be checked UNTIL YOU EXPAND THE BAG. Once you open that second zipper the bag is too big for overhead bin and it will be checked.

must be checked?
I was considering this purchase until I noticed that this is actually not 21 inches… and in fact needs to be checked. Feels like a sizeable miss on the brands part. Was really loving the features, but I need a carry on to be able to go into the overhead compartment… :/

Disappointed
I was excited to snag the Beis The 21-Inch Carry-On Roller in the Shine version of Atlas Pink during the Anniversary sale, but it was a disappointment. The color is more muted purple than light pink, and the bag looked used. Nordstrom had it available before Beis, but their shipping quality has declined. I’ve received seemingly used items before, like Skims and Celine sunglasses, and this carry-on was no different—scuffed and with oily stains. The handle is also defective, not fully extending or retracting properly. As a customer, I'm tired of being let down by the quality of my shipments. This is unacceptable -- return!

Why is it called a "carry-on" if it's required to be checked in for air travel? I haven't received it yet, but might be returning after noticing this detail in the description.

Not sure why description says it needs to be checked. This worked for me as a carry on- zero issues. Beautiful glossy pink. Love all the compartments and organizers. Love how comfy the handle is too!
