The 1991 Straight Leg Jeans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These jeans are great! The denim is the perfect weight and the color is to die for. But these are really large. We had to exchange two sizes down and they are still a little big, but a belt helps now - we didn't want to do the exchange process again. They really are great quality though, I would highly recommend - just size down.

I thought these were my favorite jeans…loved the fit and feel. But they ripped between the legs in under 5 months. They aren’t even particularly worn out there. This has been a recurring issue with Madewell jeans for 2-3 years. Thought the premium price here would mean better quality…unfortunately not the case. Will be my final jeans purchase from Madewell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These jeans seemed perfect on first glance: they were sturdy with a high-ounce denim, made from Japanese fabric mill, and had a chic slouchiness for a more casual touch. BUT mine tore along the crotch seam within two weeks of moderate use and occasional wear. Really shoddy construction and surprisingly bad workmanship. What happened? For this high price point, I expected way more: a pair to last a lifetime. But this just isn't that, I guess. A real shame.

They’re comfortable, fit perfectly, and look great! Definitely worth the little extra $ for Japanese denim. Plus, they’re 100% cotton!
