Sculpey has become hard to find and too expensive
I have used original white Sculpey polymer clay for several years to sculpt small figurines. I have over two hundred now, cartoon and old movie and comedy characters, but Sculpey has become difficult to find now and far too expensive for me to continue using it. I'm now looking for a suitable replacement.

Great for Adaptive Classes and Beginners

A powerful lesson on grief
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a bit of an unusual use case. I’m a grief-worker, someone who helps people move forward after loss, and Sculpey helps me in this work.
I’ll hand a client a piece and ask them to think about it as an embodiment of their grief. And since most people don’t like how grief feels, I suggest they put it down. Then something causes them to have to pick it up again, and it feels the same, which they don’t like so they put it down.
Sculpey, like grief, always feels the same … until we start to tend it. So I have them pick it up again and just hold it. Allow the hands to warm it. Begin to notice how it softens, becomes workable, and can even be molded into something new.
The work I do helps people trend their grief, and as they do, something they over avoided, can become a tool to not only heal but find a richer life on the other side.

Great Wow Factor!
