Teint Fétiche La Poudre Refillable Case

I was really excited about buying this compact because it reminded me of the beautiful timeless enameled blush & powder compacts that luxury makeup brands used to sell, but with the modern sustainability update of being refillable via product insert. Nope. This is a cheap plastic case that has a felt-with-gold-embroidered CL emblem inserted in the top of the cover, which would be easily exposed to damage & dirt (and powder from the refillable powder insert that's sold separately) just from everyday use and carrying around in your handbag. No longer sustainable when it becomes sooo gross you're forced to throw it away for lack of cleanliness. Also, this "compact" is HUGE (easily twice the size I was expecting) & not ideal if you have limited space in your handbag. To respond to the reviewer that noted that a brush does not accompany the compact...it is included with each powder refill (sold separately) which also doesn't really meet sustainability standards if you're still filling the world with extra brushes. At any rate, poor execution is forcing me to return it and the powder refill that I purchased separately to go with it. Carolina Herrera is next on my list to try.

I was very shocked at the quality of the case. For the price, I thought it would come with a brush to apply but it didn’t. Not too impressed with the case at all.

I bought a whole set of this case and it powder that comes with it at the same time. This case is magnetic, high quality, and super comfortable for hands to open and close. I love the unique design of this powder makeup set, definitely worth the price because it definitely will stay solid long term. I got 2 free brushes and a free makeup bag for it from the representative at Nordstrom!

The compact is lovely- unique and pink. But, is it worth $75 for the compact and another $50 for the powder? Absolutely not, not even close. I bought it because I collect fancy compacts and knew it would bug me if I didn't have it on my vanity display but it is seriously over-priced. The compact is not made of metal but plastic so there's no appreciable heft in your hand signifying luxury or quality. The powder, sold separately, is necessary because without it the bottom of the compact is just a big gaping hole. The actual powder is nice with a light coverage but nothing special. If you are like me- an avid collector of all that is pretty and pink then go for it. If your semi-interested I recommend skipping it unless you adore the cosmetics of CL and plan to purchase many powder refills over the years.

Yes, it's a little pricey, but since its refillable, it is well worth the money. I purchased the Beige Nude refill which is the perfect color for a light to medium complexion if you just want to use it as a setting powder. Can't miss with the products.

This pressed powder case is beautiful and would compliment any decor. (The powder is very good as well) . It brings joy and function to my minalist beauty kit and it really brightens my morning routine as the last thing I use before leaving for work. I hope they keep the powder in stock as well as introduce more color ways so that I can gift to my sister and daughter in law this year!
