Tanya Slide Sandal (Women)

I really wanted to love these, they are super comfortable-but I can’t get past the light color. They are much lighter in person than what Dansko shows them as. The leather matches the heel and with not contrast I think they look strange. They might be great in another color- but I was looking for something tan/brown so will be returning them.

I bought my usual European size 40. I usually wear a 9-9.5. The fit was perfect, especially with the adjustable straps. I would have given them five stars except the color shown was not the color I received. It was a lighter tan with a gold buckle, not a burnished tan with a silver buckle. That being said, I like the lighter tan and solid finish.

I have returned to Danskos in recent years --and my feet are grateful. I purchased these to wear to an outdoor college graduation in LA. I haven't worn "heels" in years, but these were perfect--form and function. I needed a neutral-colored walkable sandal with some height, but a lot of the options were just too frumpy or uncomfortable. I ended up finding these at a local shop at the eleventh hour and am so glad that I took a chance on these!! On the day of the ceremony I was forced to park nearly a mile away from the site and had to walk very quickly uphill in these--the sandals held up just fine. I wear flat Blundstones and Birkenstocks all the time---I didn't even notice that I had heels on with these! I was a bit concerned because I had to buy these in a size larger than my typical Dansko clogs. I usually wear a 36, but had to size up to a 37 because that was the only size available (in tan) in the shop. When I returned from LA-I decided to order these in Black and I ordered them in my usual size 36...they feel odd on my foot--the arch isn't sitting in the correct spot so I think I will reorder these in size 37. It may help to know that I have flat wide feet, these fit just fine and the straps make it easy to cinch them securely onto your feet.
