Tallulah Halter Midi Cocktail Dress

House of CB already runs a size smaller than normal, but this dress runs small for House of CB! In most American brands, I wear a Medium. In House of CB, I wear a Large. In this specific dress, I have to wear an Extra Large. Size up. The lining is VISCOSE, not cotton. That is not disclosed. The neckline has a weird issue with the fabric not lying flat (pictured - I used TP for modesty). That part doesn’t look nice at all and is quite distracting. For the price, you’d think they’d put more care into that. The back zipper has a huge problem that is common with House of CB pieces. It poofs out at the bottom! Photo attached. I have a large bust and the halterneck does put strain on my neck, so if you are larger-chested, you may want to skip this piece. The tie does hold quite well. It does have an A-line shape in real life. I’m not sure I would recommend this for any Kibbe soft dramatics. It has boning in it for support and cinching. I’m 5’9 with a 31” inseam and the dress ends right below my calves. Although it is listed as a raspberry color, the dress comes with a tag that calls it a “flamingo plume” color. That seems more accurate to me. It’s almost coral and seems ever-so-slightly neon on my olive undertones. I suspect the Tallulah dress would suit more of a rectangular figure. I am an hourglass and there are noticeable fit issues at the bust and rear, at no fault of my own. It just doesn’t seem like the House of CB team put care or quality control into this design. There are far too many issues to warrant the price they want.
