Great for sensitive, aging, or acne-prone skin
I'm in my sixties and I STILL have acne. I've tried benzoyl peroxide, retinol, salicylic acid...everything. But this cleanser makes a huge difference, and it does it without causing redness or allergic reactions from my sensitive skin and lips. There was mild purging at first, and since then all but a few stubborn blemishes are gone...and what's left is responding better to the other treatments I'm trying. I also find that this cleanser brightens my whole face and softens wrinkes. It's a bit drying, so I use a moisturizer with it. I wear powder foundation only, and one wash works great...but if you wear heavy makeup, you might need to do two washes, because it's gentle. (Don't use it on your eyes - just your face.)

Stings your eyes
I bought 2 of these when you withdrew my cleansing lotion It is awful. Tiny little notice saying" avoid eyes" difficult when rinsing it off! It is so thick, you have to wet your face before using it When I thought it was empty, I cut the tube open , and a weeks supply still in the tube. I like a simple cleansing lotion in a bottle I have used Clinique for 20 years, and like everything else

An interesting idea that falls short of expectations.
I bought this expecting something that performed as well as the cleansing balm but this didn't fit the bill at all. It lacks both the makeup removal and the skin softening qualities of the balm. The texture is novel, but it leaves behind a waxy residue that needs to be removed with another face wash and so doesn't work as either the first or second step in a double cleanse.

Makes your skin so clean!
