Lace Pintuck Long Sleeve Cocktail Dress

I searched and searched for dresses online, to no avail... until I came up this most perfect dress! I couldn't wait for it to arrive to see if it was as beautiful in reality as it is on the screen. It exceeded my expectations! It's beautiful! I won't get married until November. I'll update with a picture then.

I had been eyeing this dress and also the longer, velvet "gown" version. However, I am only 5'4" and I knew that I would have to hem the gown version by at least 10", which seemed a shame and would upset the proportions of the dress. I was also confused about the sizing, I normally take a 12 and their size guide said their dresses run large, but then my measurements fit better into the brand-specific size 14 according to their size guide? I really had no idea what size to take. So I got a 12 and it's the perfect fit. Maybe they mean they just run big for formalwear (which typically runs small in my experience.) This dress has some stretch in the top and bottom portions, but not much if any in the waist. So depending on where you're worrying about the fit it may be helpful. On me the dress is about 2" above my ankles, so practically in gown territory, and I think I'd rather have it hit there than chop 10" off the full-length dress. All in all this dress is absolutely stunning. well made, gorgeous details, and really flattering on me, and I am so glad I took a chance on it!

I actually purchased the green one last year and needed an elegant dress in white, so I purchased the white one also. I used the green in a photo shoot. I got so many compliments in this dress. One note to remember when purchasing the white dress. The lining is not white, it is skin tone/beige, but still gorgeous!
