Tabi Mary Jane Flat

Hi all, First, I want to say I do love the look of the shoe, they are definitely unique and get a lot of attention. Regarding sizing they are a full size too big, I'm usually a 36.5-37 and these are a 36.6 and fit big from the back, so a full size bigger. My other issue is from the first day of wearing them they gave me terrible cuts on the back of my feet. I was extremely disappointed considering the price point. My Prada/Chanel/Jimmy Choo flats/loafers I wore out of the box and are extremely comfortable. These are a bit hard in the back and due to the space, they cut into my Achilles. I can wear then with sock and that's a bit better, but sometimes even with socks I get cuts. I reached out to Nordstrom regarding this; these shoes are yet to break in the back and that is truly unfortunate. The shoe is very comfortable to walk in except the stiff back cutting into my Achilles. I usually don't leave bad reviews and suck it up, but hopefully this will help someone regarding sizing. I really wish I ordered a size 36,

Despite many reviews that this style “runs big” or “wide” I went with my true EU size and whewwww they fit. Only ordered because no other size was available but if I went by reviews i would have ordered too small! This is now my 4th Tabi purchase, and I’m recognizing that in the hard or patent leather you really do not want the snuck fit right off the bat. Yes there’s a break in period for a lot of designer and leather shoes, but the discomfort is not worth it on the big toe. I learned my lesson with the first two Tabi purchases. Also, I have a very slender foot and with a thin Tabi sock this shoe still fit fine. Slight room on the sides but not drowning in it! I can feel that there may be a rubbing area (slightly) in the back of the heel. Another reason not to go smaller/tight and wait for stretching!
