Tabi Ballerina Pump

These shoes are beautiful, however...they are not true to size. They run super small. I have ordered the different sizes, ans even though the 8.5 fits, it still feels a bit tight. I'm a true 7.5 thw vast majority of the time. But sure if I'll keep them, I'm about ready to give up.

After reading glowing reviews of this unusual footwear, I decided to buy a pair. They are very well-made and neatly finished, and the leather is incredibly soft. Unfortunately, my big toes wouldn't fit into the space designed for it. I found this model uncomfortable. My regular shoe size is 9US, tabi I bought in a size 10.

These run so small! They say that they run true to size but they do not. I am a solid 8.5 in salon shoes and I started with that and they were so tight that I couldn’t even move my toes and could barely get my foot in. (I have a narrow foot bed too) So then I tried the 9, and to be honest it didn’t seem like there was much difference, a little bit more comfortable but not enough for me to walk around and be comfortable! I am waiting for the 9.5 and hopefully the third time I will get it right, but I’m a little nervous that they’re going to be too big and my heels going to slip, so this could be a shoe disaster. :( These should be crazy comfortable for this price tag, I’m not convinced.

I have slowly developed a fondness for Tabis. I started with Nike Rifts and then bought Margiela Mary Janes last year, which ran TTS for me (they are wider) and were perfect out of the box. I knew the Ballerinas ran smaller but it seems that the higher the shoe the larger the size. I’m a 39 in the MJ’s. I thought I was a 39.50 in the Ballerina flats and a 40 in the Ballerina Pump based upon trying those shoes on a year ago. I just bought 40’s in the Ballerina Pump And they run pretty narrow and I am wondering if they will stretch enough, based on what I’ve read about these shoes stretching a bit and molding to the foot and toe? The length is fine. Or if I need a 40.50? Not sure and not sure what I will do…..It’s confusing and at this price point I don’t want to buy and keep shoes that don’t fit whether the end up being too big because they’ve stretched too much or keeping shoes that are just too small. *sigh*

After reading through the few reviews, I ordered a size up and the shoe fit perfectly. I usually wear a 10 (40) but ordered an 11 (41) have a somewhat wide foot as well, but the shoe fit well and did not gap. Overall, I'm super happy with this shoe. Super comfortable and really cute. Can dress it up or down. Happy with my purchase.

These are so comfortable but I needed to go a full size up. I wear 39.5 usually in Margiela but these I took a 40.5. I have “normal” size feet, regular width but these run short and tight on toe, in my opinion.
