Classic Galosh Slip-On (Men)

Rubbers for Halloween == What started out as a "proper" Halloween costume turned very practical. I bought a pair of dress rubbers a year ago as part of a "British gentlemen's rainwear" - together with tweed vest, gray ivy cap and a bumbershoot. While the rubbers made the look quite authentic, in the subsequent year I found various uses for them (since I bought them outright). I wear them to mow the lawn, wash the car, shovel snow, dig in the garden. They were impressively handy when I got stuck at my buddy's apartment. Neither of us had a shovel, so I pulled on my rubbers and we got a pair of tire chains on the Accord. His sneakers and socks were soaking wet, but my feet stayed completely dry. Thanks, rubbers! From retro costume to snow gear, these things are handy. Should've had a pair long ago -- and I'm loving the old-school look.

On the far side of a pandemic, I found myself tap dancing in a musical and needing "tap covers", a dance accessory specific to the theater. The craziness of this time frame has made them unavailable. So, out of desperation, I started thinking outside the box, and this came up in an internet search. I could not be more pleased. It was exactly what I needed to be on stage for an hour and a half in taps, but not tapping. When I pulled them off, the audience was thrilled. These are old-school galoshes with class, and with a cool new use!
