Super-T Long Sleeve Henley Shirt

I bought two of these shirts for my husband because he had one from last winter and really liked it. Got the shirts, they fit and looked good. I washed one of the new ones (oatmeal color) and the one I bought last January. Keep in mind that the older shirt had only been worn for about three months after purchase and then put away for the warm weather. Each of the shirts was in its own lingerie bag, I used a normal amount of Tide and Downy and washed on a gentle cycle. To my amazement, when I took the shirts out of their bags, both of them were missing all three of their buttons. Not only that, but the button holes and placket were falling apart - see photos. The buttons could not be found. They weren't in the bags, the washer or the dryer. Did they dissolve? Who knows. I am so disappointed in LE - they used to stand for quality, but I can't say that with this purchase. I hold my breath now every time I wash the third shirt, but so far so good. However, one out of three is not a good ratio for quality.
