Suede Barn Coat

I was nervous to get my jackets in the mail because of all the bad reviews but truthfully, this jacket overall is really beautiful. I don’t find this to be an overly heavy coat as another reviewer said. I’m 5’8” 164 pounds and the small fits me fine. The only thing that I’m not loving about this jacket is the leather collar, for some reason it’s giving me Marv vibes the home alone . The zipper on the jacket I received was definitely sticking when trying to pull it up and it’s a chunky zipper in my opinion. Overall, I think the jacket is very beautiful. I’m just not sure it’s worth the cost.

This is a nice jacket for the anniversary price point. Has some weight to it. It runs a little oversized or generous in sizing so your typical size if you want to wear sweater or sweatshirt underneath and still zip up. Love the versatility of zipper and snap button. Generous pockets in front. Suede smells more genuine leather than some other coats at this price point. Would recommend as a nice fall coat for outdoor fall days or to accent an outfit going out.

I bought it hoping not to like it and I'd have to return it. I'm keeping it. It is substanital, and well-priced (anniversary sale). Beautiful color and a sophisticated take on an OG. The sleeve are a little long. I might need to have them altered. I think it runs a little large. I'm very happy with it.

While this barn coat is designed to be roomy, the sizing is way off! I ordered the medium and it fits my husband (who wears a large!) The suede is beautiful, but it weighs enough to be a workout when wearing it! Some may like this coat, but it was returned. Highly recommend you size down at least 1 size.

I just received this today, and am still fawning over it, hours after its arrival! It is a gorgeous Dark Brown color, in a modern barn coat style, and the fit is fantastic. I would definitely say this fits true to size, but roomy enough for a medium weight sweater under it. It fits me exactly the same as the model, in my regular size. I have purchased other Avec Les Filles items from Nordstroms in the past, and have loved every one of them. They are of excellent quality for the money. The only thing I would have loved on every jacket I have purchased from this brand, is a two way zipper. This jacket would be perfect with it, as it is a longer length than some of the bomber jackets I have from them, but it is not a deal breaker. Just some thoughts for future Anniversary Sales!

Really nice suede coat. Fits true to size and has long sleeves even for tall ladies.
