V-Neck Embroidery & Bead Overlay Gown

This was the first dress I tried on as a potential wedding dress...and now I'm done! This dress made it almost too easy. (Wasn't I supposed to try on a lot of horrible hoop skirts and tulle w/women screaming around me before finding the right dress?) Color: As a red-head, the champagne color is perfect (white white is not my friend)...not too brown/taupe, and light enough to be appropriate for a wedding dress. Design: Quite elegant. Fancy enough to be a wedding dress, but could also serve well as a party dress. The rhinestones are not overdone, but add just the perfect amount of light bling. My family said they felt it had a nice vintage feel (which matches my style). My wedding will be on a slightly more casual side, but I feel that the dress could span the range of casual to fancy weddings. Fit and comfort: I usually wear a size 8, but the 10 worked. I know the Nordstrom team and the other reviewer (to date) say it is true to size, but it wasn't for me. BTW - I am a B almost C cup, but don't think I will need to wear a bra - there is plenty of support. Score on that, both in comfort and because the back is open lace. The lining is polyester, but does not look cheap. Another comfort benefit, as it will stretch and move with you. The v-neck is cut perfectly to be flattering without being inappropriate. I have a bit of a tummy [right now] which still looks okay even though it is a straight skirt off of an empire waist. BTW- If you are interested in this dress...I noticed that they have sold out of sizes quite quickly. So don't delay. No, Nordstrom did not pay me to write this. ;-)

I loved this dress the moment i saw it! I couldn't wait for it to arrive! I was glad that I read the reviews and I ordered up a size. I'm looking for a Mother of the Bride dress for a September outdoor wedding/inside reception. I am a typical 4 but ordering the 6 still wasn't enough for the upper half. I'm a slight athletic build but with the side zipper at the bust area, it was not going to zip comfortably and then with the thought of moving up another size, I was likely going to swim in the rest of the dress. I don't do well with side zip dresses or tops anyway...I think they are a challenge and always feel tight. This dress is beautiful! I ordered the platinum and sooooo wished it could have worked. I did find another great dress from Nordstrom's that will be wonderful!
