Love the Blue Accent
I'm a Strand fan thru and thru. Added the black CXL to my collection. The blue sole and laces really sets them apart. However, the fit is a bit off width wise. Not sure if it's the softer CXL leather or what but my size is 10E in most built off the 65. These I had to go with a 10D which ended up being a perfect fit

Poor construction
After trying two different pair gave up as the leather upper stitching seems to consistently be exposed inside of the shoe, and is abrasive at the ends nearly feeling like a staple or nail. My other Allen Edmonds styles have not had this issue ... beyond surprising for the cost of this shoe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great design - I can wear with casual or business casual occasions. Chromexcel leather is easy to take care of and durable. I have the same shoe in brown and recently bought it in black. Ran a bit large so I went a 1/2 size down.

Excellent craftsmanship and everyday versatility
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the Strand Cap-Toe Oxford in black leather with the Dainite sole and couldn’t be happier with the quality. The leather is smooth and rich with a great finish, and the broguing and overall construction feel very well executed. Comfort has been excellent after a short break-in period.
Fit note: it does run slightly large for me — I’d recommend considering a half size down if you’re between sizes.
The Dainite sole is a big plus — durable, good traction in wet conditions, and still looks dressy enough for business wear. Overall, it’s a classic, versatile shoe that works equally well with suits, tailored trousers, or dark denim and feels like a long-term staple pair.
Highly recommend.

Very comfortable Day One
As always the fit is perfect! Only shoe I can order that has EEE width and they fit like a glove. Have never had to break in a pair of Allen Edmonds as they are comfortable day one.. The finish on the Strandmok is beautiful with a slight wear patina. Plus its an American shoe company.
