arrived damaged
I knew it was damaged as soon as I picked up the package from my porch. For some reason, the crock had been previously removed from the Le Creuset packaging and put back in incorrectly so there was nothing between the 2 pieces. I could hear them clacking together before I’d even opened the shipping box. The package itself was wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap but since the crock had no cushioning, the bubble wrap was totally pointless. The inner bell is covered in deep gouges and the edge had the finish completely ground off. Returning to the store. I will order from a different retailer as Nordstrom stopped caring about quality in shipping years ago. Makes me sad because they used to be one of the best.
