Downtown Chelsea Boot

Loved these boots, but the inside of the right boot at the ankle fell apart soon after purchasing. I had only worn them a handful of times. The stitching came undone where the leather is sewn to the fabric part and created a hole. Nordstrom won't take a return because they are used and it has been a little over 30 days since purchase. Very unhappy with the boots and Nordstrom. Too much money to have them fall apart so quickly!

I would normally wear an 8 but ordered 8.5 because of other reviews. These are stunning - beautiful rich color and so classic with just a little unique twist with the shape. Super comfortable from the first wear.

They design and craftsmanship is stunning! They run small though and they are out of the bigger size. I guess I’ll just take the pain bc I can’t live without them 😭

I had high hopes for these boots but confirmed the reviews: the leather quality is disappointingly poor. I purchased the brown and as soon as I put them on and inspected closely, noticed crackling of the leather finish, which I know will peel with a couple of wears. This shouldn’t be present on a brand new shoe. This made my purchase a return as this will be a one-season item. The design, color, and fit is fantastic but given the low quality, it was an instant pass. Maybe at 1/3 of the sale price the cost x wear would be worth it. But at current sale price it is not worth it, and at full price it’s a hard PASS.

Comfortable and extremely chic, but the quality is terrible. I sent one pair back because there was a defect with the leather (leather peeling at the top line of both boots where it folds an meets the lining), and the pair I was sent as a replacement had the same issue, plus a scratch near the toe on one boot. I was offered a partial refund because of the defect and accepted, however, now the elastic along the side is already losing its elasticity, and I am considering sending them back again. I want to try another pair, but I am hesitant based on the two pairs I have already seen. Very disappointing, they do not seem to be worth what Steve Madden is charging for them.

Overall comfortable shoe. There is a Hole inbetween sole of heel and leather part of shoe that can let water in. Not a lot of tread and the tread that is there wears out very quick. Not sure if I would recommend.
