Disappointing
I have looked for the perfect LBD for months and thought I had found it. I ordered the 8 and it was snug in the bust and huge in the hips. I am 5'8" 127 lb . I thought the material was lovely and the design perfect but the St. John line must be made for a "hippie" lady.

Resembles a sweatshirt
This material is not of the St John quality. It looks and feels like sweatshirt material and the band around the neckline is about one inch wide and again looks as if it belongs on a sweatshirt. I was so looking forward to this dress which looked dynamite on line but oh so disappointing in actuality. It is being returned quickly.

Lovely dress...just not right fit for me
Love St. John and took a chance with this - ordering online. While the dress is lovely, it just wasn't the right fit for me. Scoop neck is quite wide - across the shoulders as well.

perfect dress
I bought the red one last year, and was glad to see they have added a color. This dress goes from work to whatever. The knit never pills, the shape never sags, the length is perfect (at 5' 2") it just covers my knees, and it looks new from the cleaners. I hope they add a couple of more colors.

nice dress
I got this in gray and on sale, and it's a workday staple. I'm a bit shorter than the other reviewer (5'5") so maybe that's why it fits better? In any case, it's one of my favorites.

classy black dress
runs large, order down. great dress waiting to see the smaller size. cuts a little low on scoop neck but has nice shape and classic style.
