Heroic Bootie (Women)

I've been looking for a comfortable pair of low heeled booties that have a little bit of fun design. I like the victorian look to these and the heel height is perfect. I have one foot that is a 7.5 and one that is an 8 and I have a high instep. I tried both the 38 and 39 and found the 39 fit better. It was really nice that I can adjust the instep tightness with the laces but it also has a zipper for easy on and off. I have damaged feet from broken bones, torn tendons and surgery and these are pretty comfortable so far. I haven't worn them long distance walking yet but the leather is soft, the sole is good and I'm optimistic these are going to work out. The only thing that would be better is if the insole came out so you could put a custom orthotic in.

The toes are so pointy that I shouldve ordered a size down. I already have large feet (size 9), so these shoes were doing me no favors, they accentuated the size of my feet. They are not at all almond shaped the way I imagined them to be, before I put them on. Once they were on, they felt kind of masculine, almost like oxfords. Not at all my style, had to return them.
