Spotlight Wide Leg Faux Leather Trousers

I love how slouchy these are. The barrel leg is perfect. They are a little long on me (5’8”).

The waist is a tad tight, but the narrow leg is really flattering. I did take it in store to get them shortened, and the alterations team worked some magic so they hit perfectly! I’m in California, so I don’t need these to keep me warm, the lightweight material is perfect. People often assume they are designer and $800 pants!

These pants are great looking. However the barrel leg is huge and the waist is a bit too tight. The side pockets gap which is the ultimate reason they are going back.

While I LOVE the look and idea of these wide leg pants, I was super disappointed when I tried them on in-stores. Free people HAS made super good vegan leather jackets and barrel jeans in the past. This however is literally felt that has a very slightly leather-esque coating. The fabric is incredibly thin and I think that if you tripped, the fabric wouldn’t scuff, no I think it would straight up RIP and tear. So glad I felt them in-person. Color also isn’t a solid brown, it kinda ombres and looks more washed as opposed to a solid one color like the image. Many spots darker and then lighter than others. Really wanted this to work :/
