SPANXsmooth^™ PerfectFit Ponte Flare Pants

I ordered a size 2x and wear a size 20-24 on the bottom. Here’s how I’d grade these pants: Sit test: C … tolerable, but not as comfortable as jeans Squat test: A … high waisted and super flexible made squatting easy Fabric durability: A … thick and would last a long time Fabric breathability: D … these are HOT and I can see chafing being an issue Length: F … I’m 5’6 and they touched the floor when I held them to my chest. I still need them hemmed even with high heels. The cut is fine, but needs to be several inches shorter to be sold as regular. Fabric hold: D … these pants are too compressive and put my VBO on display through the thick fabric and my sweater. They also smushed my belly downward. It was hard to tell if sizing up would resolve these problems or add bagginess/excess fabric to the list of issues. To improve these pants, SPANX could reduce the compression, make these in appropriate lengths, improve fabric breathability, and work with fat models to make their pants work on bodies that aren’t stick thin. Verdict: These pants have a lot of potential, but $160 pants need to be a PERFECT fit, not receive failing grades in categories that make the item wearable. I started a return the day I received these and tried them on. They’re going back!

Not sure what all the bad press is about, as these pants are absolutely A*M*A*Z*I*N*G!!! I am 5' 7", 140 (3...lol!) lbs and wear a size 6/8. Ordered in medium and the fit is spot on!! The inseam is as listed..32". Spanx has these pants listed on their site in (3) lengths: Petite, Regular and Long. Perhaps the reviews that state the pants are too long have received the incorrect length?? The pants are heavy, ("ponte", as stated in the description AND material content), but that is exactly what I was looking for! I am so pleased with my purchase and wish they were offered in other colors!

I was really skeptical that these pants would look professional enough for my formal office environment but I was so wrong. These pants are extremely comfortable and stretchy but the material is thick and heavy and looks very professional. I feel like I am wearing yoga pants to the office but it looks like I am wearing nice suit pants. I would highly recommend.

I’m 5’5 145ish and got the mediums…they are awesome! I’ve had 3 kids…the last one three months ago. I love that these have enough structured stretch to be forgiving as my skin tightens up & have been working on getting that last bit of weight off. I’ve had these for a year and have worn them a million times. I do have to wear booties with them for a little extra height so I don’t have to get them hemmed. Highly recommend!

I love Spanx almost everything. I have the pointe straight leg pants and have worn them all winter. I have the jean leggings in two colors, and love them. I have the leather leggings and love them. Love the tights. Love the skater skirt. These were horrible. They were huge, thick, very long, not cute and went back. I always wear a M in spanx clothing and I ordered the same in these, they were easily 6 inches long ( and I am 5'8"!) and quite large.

Every woman needs a pair of these! Literally look like I’m 15 pounds thinner. Beautiful luxurious pants with high end designer appeal. Legs look longer and back end looks perkier. Do yourself a favor and order these. Im between a 10 and 12 ... Im 5’6” and I did hem these a bit, but the flare is still there. These are my new favorites and I ordered a second pair too! Quality is top notch. So slimming! Grab these before they sell out.
