Velvet Leggings

I bought these leggings in the blue color at full price, and then bought another color on sale later. For both pair, they wore out in one big spot over one knee very quickly. If you sit at your desk and cross your legs when you sit, the velvet will fade to almost white on the spot where your leg crosses. For expensive leggings, very disappointed. I can't even wear them anymore.

I purchased a variety of Spanx and I had a difficult time with sizing even though I read the reviews so I hope this helps. I am 5’4’, currently 170, normal/athletic build with an hourglass shape. I don’t have wide hips, or much of a butt, but I do have large thighs. I got a Large in the Blue Velvet and had no issue putting them on and definitely could have sized down to a medium, as my normal weight is 150-ish and these fit great. These are the perfect length, and not too long like some of the others. They suck and smoothe your stomach and smoothe the thighs as well. They are more flattering than the black leatherette, and seem a bit thicker, but more difficult to pair because of the color - but the deep blue sheen with a bit of grey undertone is a welcome deviation from the black we all wear to look slim. I am sure they will still fit comfortably as my size changes because they seem to accommodate with the stretch and were not overly tight or to loose. I also don’t feel like I need to get a second pair in medium like the black leatherette for more control when I need it, because these really fit well.

WOW! Just WOW! I saw these on QVC, but ordered from Nordstrom since I'm a loyal shopper here. These are AMAZING. The inside is satin-y, the fit is SUPERB, and the velvet is very high-end and gorgeous. These are worth every single penny. Will wear them with a tunic, boots and a cardigan and it will be the cutest outfit I own. I took an XL and am a curvy size 16, and these make me look at least one size smaller than I really am.
