Worry free shaping
Reading the only other review of this item made me unsure of my purchase. However, I decided to try it anyway. I am so happy I went through with it. I wore this under a short form fitting black sheath dress. It was perfect. It gave me a smooth look and was very comfortable to wear. I completely forgot that I had it on. I wore it to a wedding reception, and it never moved the entire time I had it on! I will definitely wear this again! The length was perfect for the short dress I wore. This was my first spanx purchase, and I am a happy customer.

So disappointed
To start off, I am 5'6 and 115lbs, I wear a size 25 in jeans and 0-2 in dresses, I ordered a small in the half slip. I am not a "bigger" girl (no offense ladies) but I wanted some form of shapewear to have under my fitted dresses so I didn't have to worry about the little pooch you can get after drinking too many beverages. I had high hopes for my first Spanx purchase because so many people are ranting and raving about them. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE. I put it on and it made my body look worse than it did without it. The shorts on the inside are longer then the slip itself so you have to have it adjusted very awkwardly in order for it to fit and look right. Because of the shorts, it pushes your butt up and I can definitely see them becoming uncomfortable due to being so tight around your thighs (and I have small thighs). The compression fabric did no sucking in at all and you would be better off buying a tight fitting cheap slip or tank in comparison to this piece. So disappointed in this purchase and it will definitely be going back. I would have been fine paying nearly $70 for a great shapewear piece that works well but this was a huge waste of money, don't waste your time on it ladies.

Perfect for Everything
This by far is the best multi-solution fix. I am 5'1" and find the overall length of the entire garment to be fine. I have to issues with much overlay at the top. There might be a bit, but if you move the garment around it will settle nicely. The length at the bottom works with mini's, but maybe not a micro mini. It totally smoothes you out with light to medium control. I don't find the boy short inside a problem, and if anything, it keeps the edge in place. I have had other Spanx that rode up, and find that this hardly budges. I hope they keep this garment as a standard forever. I got the nude in size S, as I can always wear the nude under black.

not for short people
So I am 5'3" and I could have pulled this up over my boobs. It goes really high. And there are little shorts underneath the slip that are attached and those squeezed my thighs uncomfortably. They needed a better hem on the shorts.

Bunches up
It does stay up well and comfortably...but the top layer gets all twisted and bunched up so I had to keep adjusting throughout the day--very annoying. Also, didn't provide enough tummy control for me, while the shorts dug into my legs a bit so bulge is noticeable for short skirts. I sent this one back. Wish I could find the old ones that are just one thicker piece (not two thin layers w/ shorts).

weird plants
the built in shorts simply ruined what would otherwise have been a fabulous product. the double thickness made both fabrics bunch in opposite directions, a hot mess. returned.
