Slimpack III Waterproof Hiker Boot (Women)

Nice looking boot. Even better than the picture. I got the green/khaki combo and the color was as pictured. Very comfy when I tried them on. They run large though. I am 7.5 in most boots. I ordered an 8 intending to wear thick socks for the Chicago cold but they were HUGE. I ordered the 7.5 and they still felt a bit large. I am on the fence about ordering the 7 but will likely do so and then keep the pair that fits best.

I ordered my usual 8.5 shoe size and I’m gonna return for size 9. I like some extra room for thick wool socks in the winter and not feel like my toe is butting up against the shoe. Size 8.5 fit but it would be with only a thin wool sock. They appear to be well made and are very stylish looking. I hope Sorel has made improvements on the wood heel since it’s previous version of this boot. I know a lot of people complained the heel would fall off after one season of wear. Not that great considering the cost of the boot. I’m looking forward to wearing them this winter.

These boots are really a hybrid duck boot/ hike boot that is much better than expected! I knew the brand was quality so I took a chance on fit. I usually wear a 7.5 or 8. These size 8’s are very comfortable but they are a tiny bit short and my toe barely touches the front of boot. I hope the boot will be comfortable after walking for hours. I’m probably going to keep the boots anyway as they are sold out and a 8.5 would probably be too large all around. Super cute boot!
