Sizing-I am a 9/43 in pretty much everything (never 81/2 and very rarely a10- very occasionally 9.5/431/3)
So went with 9.5 too big and so hard to gauge just wearing around house-in the end sent them back for a 9. Perfect fit a treat.
Wear-my first walk one boot gave a little rub on top of boot at rear. Decided to wear to work and back for a few days (only 1km). Weekend went for a fast 5mile walk - no issues. Perfect.
So need to break in over a few walks.
On concrete/tarmac comfortable under foot.
Glad I purchased and would buy again unless they produce any unnecessary faults.
Not yet tested in rain or snow but currently nice and warm.
PS
Delivery/returns not spectacular so do not leave until last minute to test/try.

I love these boots.
I love these boots. I live and work in Alaska in one of the rainiest places anywhere, and these boots are so comfortable, the soles are not too thin like some of the cheaper boots made by 3M and that you might find elsewhere on the internet. The tiniest puncture in thin soles makes boots worthless in the rain. I've had this pair for a year now and so far no leaks. They're also not ankle twisters like ExtraTuffs.
It's important to note however that the tongue of the shoe is not waterproof. If you step in ankle deep water, water will seep in through the tongue fabric. For me, that is fine, because I wear these boots all day long every day and I would prefer my feet to breathe a little, I just try to avoid stepping in puddles that deep. Inevitably it happens, but only a few times a year. But I suppose, making that tongue waterproof might be an option that would be appreciated by some.
Another thing that I've come to realize about Sorel, is that they seem to have come to the same conclusion as I have that lace hooks are dangerous trip hazards. I appreciate that none of their shoes seem to have them. I especially like the design of the eyelets of these boots. Pretty cool.
You know, my dad has had a pair or two of Sorels in his closet for about as long as I can remember, I always felt like I couldn't really afford them myself for a long time, but I always liked the ones he had. Now that I'm older, I realize, it's worth paying a bit extra for really good shoes. Live and learn I guess. Thanks Sorel for making great shoes.

Great Fit Great Style
I have had other styles of Sorel boots over the years. I particularly like these as they are fairly light weight and easy to put on. Also great tread and traction.
I wear size 12 and found the sizing to be right on with plenty of room if I want to wear heavier socks

Second pair
First pair lasted 20 yrs but dry rotted. This pair was made in Vietnam instead of Canada. They seem well-made.
