A must have for every baby!
We purchased the original Sophie girafe before the teething ring, and our baby LOVED the original Sophie girafe. Then, for Christmas, we got her the Sophie teething ring because she was starting to teeth. Now, she loves the teether more than the original Sophie!
There are a few things that make this product better than the original Sophie for a teething baby. First, it is about half the size of the original Sophie, and is much easier for baby to control and put into her mouth. Also, the smaller head is much easier for baby to fit into her mouth to chomp on. Along those same lines, the two circular teething extensions make picking up the teether very easy for baby. I noticed with the original Sophie that it gets dirty very easily, with lint getting trapped in the little crevices. For some reason, the teether does not get dirty like that, and is a lot easier to keep clean. Every parent with a teething baby should have one of these.

no vanilla
description should be changed as this teether has no vanilla flavor or scent. only smells like rubber. was hoping the scent would attract my baby to this model, but rubber is not appealing. the packaging also mentions NOTHING about vanilla.

I read a prior review that it doesnt smell like vanilla at all which is true but doesnt bother me. Its smaller than I thought but its a good size for babies hands. The regular Sophie is alot bigger. I washed it with dish soap before use and its perfectly fine. It makes a squeaky noise when baby chews on it. She enjoys biting on it. Overall I think its a great natrual teether. The paint doesnt seem like it chips unlike another teether we have. Well made and luxurious as a gift. It also came in a really nice packaging.

Cute gift, great travel toy
We received this as a gift and our little one likes it enough! I like that there are many places we can attach a pacifier clip to it. It's of less interest now to our little one (almost 18mo) because it doesn't get back deep enough for the side teeth coming in. I wish the top loop wasn't there so that the neck of the giraffe could go in and help them get back further in their mouth. But it was great during the early stages of teething, and it's so cute! We loved taking it when we went to the zoo and it has been on many airplane trips with us.
