Soft Luxe Knit Quarter Zip Dress

I bought this to have something cute and comfortable for vacation. Needed an easy outfit to throw on and go get coffee. I purchased the pink in the store and although it’s a pretty color I just ordered the ivory color to see which I like better. It runs true to size. I’m a size small and it fit great. I tried on the medium in hopes it would be a little longer but it was only wider. Yes it’s a little short but I plan on wearing bike shorts underneath. Looks good with tennis shoes or my Birkenstocks.

I really like the idea of this dress. The fabric is super soft and comfy. But the dress is just way too short and I'm only 5'4" - it hid mid-thigh on me (more like a pool coverup length!). Plus the collar sits a little wide/big for my taste. Definitely off in the overall fit for me.

I am a little undecided on this maybe because I feel like I am between sizes. The larger size looked like ai was swimming in the skirt portion especially. So I ordered a size down and I don’t love it. It’s not tight by any means but it feels shorter if that makes sense. Waist seems higher and length feels a little short and I am only 5’4”. Length would be better and more age appropriate if it was just a couple inches longer for sure. I don’t want it too short to look like my daughter but I don’t want it at to my knees either! Trying to lose a few so I think I will hold on to it a little bit and see how it looks in a few weeks. Material is a nice scuba type fabric.

Love this dress but it did not hold up in the wash. Lots of piling which is disappointing.

I usually wear a small, but thought I'd size up to a medium hoping it would be longer since other reviews said it was too short. I don't mind a little room sometimes, and I wanted to be able to wear it to work. I should've just listened to the review that said it doesn't get longer, only wider, and saved myself the trouble of returning this. It's not long enough and the skirt part is just really wide and figure-skaterish. Also, the top part is just a lot. The sleeve is so unnecessarily big and it just makes the body look wider. I've never met a woman who's trying to look wider, but maybe that's just me? I gave it three stars because the fabric is really soft and would've been comfortable. I wish they'd just make a simple v-neck dress in this material with a straight fit that's a few inches longer. I would've worn bike shorts under it anyway, but I can't get away with this length at work and it's not great anyway. Notice in the pic the model is holding her hands over the sides? That's to hide how much it sticks out. Instead of having the model hide the fit, design a better dress, Nordstrom!

Cute but the sizing looks off on top! Very loose.
